It is never bad grammar to refer to someone by their preferred pronouns. It is, however, thoughtless and inconsiderate to purposely NOT use them.

There is something Nazi like about refusing to use someone’s pronouns, but it has nothign to do with grammar.
But while we’re being all self-righteous and prescriptivist, let’s talk about the word Nazi for a minute.
Nazis were genocidal imperialists who extinguished the lives of 11 million innocent people under circumstances that you cannot begin to imagine. (Even if you saw Schindler’s List. More than once.) They killed half of the Jews who existed in Europe in an intentional act of total systematic annihilation.
They also specifically targeted homosexuals (and presumed homosexuals, like gender variant people whose pronouns this “grammar nazi” won’t respect) who were often subjected to indescribable acts of torture in the name of Nazi “research.” Does the name “Mengele” mean anything to you?
If you call yourself a ____ Nazi, that’s what you’re aligning yourself with. That’s what you’re saying you are. That’s what you’re glorifying.
